If you love fast-paced suspense, sharp banter, and a romance that sparks from page one, Stranded ended up being my favorite book in the Alaskan Courage series.
This time the story follows Darcy St. James, who heads back to Alaska undercover as a travel reporter to help a journalist friend chase a big story. But when she arrives, her friend has vanished without explanation. Determined to find out what really happened, Darcy takes a job aboard a cruise ship to investigate from the inside — and promptly runs into Gage McKenna, who’s leading adventure excursions for the summer and clearly did not expect Darcy (or the trouble that seems to follow her).
What unfolds is part mystery, part manhunt, and part second-chance romance as the two of them dig deeper into something much darker than they anticipated — all while sailing into remote, icy waters where help is far away.
I absolutely loved the chemistry between Darcy and Gage. Their teasing, history, and constant back-and-forth made every scene fun to read. Even in the middle of danger, their banter kept things light and gave the story so much personality. Their relationship felt natural and full of tension in the best way.
The pacing is also fantastic. There’s always a new lead, a new risk, or a twist I didn’t see coming. I kept guessing who was really behind everything, which made it hard to put down. I always wanted “just one more chapter.”
And one of my favorite parts of this whole series is how the McKenna family keeps showing up for each other. You learn more about them with every book, and it adds heart and depth beyond just the suspense plot.
Content-wise, it’s clean with faith woven in naturally, making it an easy recommendation for both teens and adults who enjoy Christian romantic suspense.

this one is definitely worth picking up. It was easily my favorite of the series.
